HOW WELL EDUCATED IS YOUR CHIROPRACTOR?
Doctors of Chiropractic Have Six or More Years of College
Doctors of Chiropractic complete 4 years of undergraduate school and 5 years of graduate school. They must complete over 900 clinical hours prior to graduation. They are required to pass four sets of National board examinations to obtain licensure in addition to other requirements for state licensure. Once licensed, continuing post-graduate education is required for annual license renewal.
Any certifications received during school require extra hours and testing. In addition, your chiropractors complete a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education per year. All other certifications required hours ranging from 18 - 300 each! We stopped counting when we passed 2000 hours of continuing education credits!
